Nintendo WII Accessories Make Your WII A Complete Gaming System

Michelle Bery asked:

So you have decided to purchase the hottest new thing in video gaming; the Nintendo Wii. When you purchase your Wii system you will have everything you need to plug in and start playing, including Wii Sports, a game that provides a great way to learn how to use the Wii system’s revolutionary, motion sensing, controllers. However, the Nintendo Wii does not include everything you need to maximize your gaming experience, and that is why there are several must-have Nintendo Wii accessories.

The Nintendo Wii comes with one remote controller - the Wiimote - and one Nunchuk, which is a motion sensing analog controller that attaches to the wireless Wiimote. If you want to enjoy the head-to-head action of the great games included with Wii Sports, then the first of the Nintendo Wii accessories that you should consider is an extra controller. The Wii can accommodate four controllers, so fitting a second into the system is not a problem.

The Nintendo Wii is compatible not only with games designed for the Wii, but for Nintendo GameCube titles as well. If you do not have a GameCube controller already - your existing GameCube controllers are compatible - then one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a GameCube controller. Not only will that allow you to play a wider variety of games, you can also play the classic games that are downloadable to your Wii system. However, you need more than the GameCube controller to fully replicate the features of the GameCube games. Without a GameCube memory card, your progress through many of the games will be lost each time you shut down your Wii. A GameCube memory card will allow you to save your progress and play at your leisure. Again, if you have existing GameCube memory cards they are compatible with the Wii.

Speaking of classic Nintendo games, the Wii system’s Internet capabilities make it possible to download those classic games of Nintendo’s past. Downloads are not free, however, and Wii Points are the currency of choice. Therefore, one of the more useful Nintendo Wii accessories is a prepaid Wii Points card that will allow you to easily browse and purchase many of your favorite games from all of the Nintendo predecessors. However, if you plan to purchase many of these classic games it is only a matter of time before you fill the 512mb memory of your Wii system. Purchase a 1 gigabyte SD memory card and you will have all the room you need with plenty to spare!

In order to take advantage of the game downloading abilities, as well as other aspects of the Wii system’s menu functions, you need access to the Internet. That makes the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector one of the most important Nintendo Wii accessories. With wireless Internet access in place, you can use your Wii to play games, surf the Web, and coming soon: head to head virtual play!

All of these Nintendo Wii accessories add up to form an impressive array of gaming and entertainment capabilities, but without a component video adapter the picture quality of the Wii might fail to reach its potential, especially if you have a High Definition television. With the adapter in place you will enjoy a crystal clear picture which will enhance your Wii - and your Nintendo Wii accessories - so much more. And one more thing: invest in some rechargeable batteries in order to keep those wireless remote controls at peak performance!

Vikram Kumar asked:

Nintendo, the Video Gaming Company

Nintendo has brought another gaming innovation out to the market. Nintendo, the oldest multinational company from Kyoto, Japan, is among the industry’s most powerful video game producing company. From the time this company was conceptualized, it had already evolved and ventured in varied industries from the production of Hanafuda playing cards, taxi, food and hotel businesses to the video game systems. Since the late 70s, it has come to produce over 2 billion video games already.

Among the video game systems that stirred the interests of the gaming public are the Color TV Game, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), Virtual Boy, the Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and the most recent Wii and its Wii consoles. Nintendo also produced portable game consoles like Game and Watch game lines, the Game Boy Series such as Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy SP, the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi.

The Wii Console and Its Features

Wii Consoles are home video games released by Nintendo in 2006. It is a seventh generation game console that was meant to compete with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3. The Wii console is featured with a wireless Wii Remote controller, which detects movements in three dimensions. It can also be used as a handheld pointing device. It also has a WiiConnect24 that receives messages and updates from the Internet even when the Wii console is in its standby mode.

The Wii Sports Sequel

From the Wii Sports that has just recently been out in the market comes the Wii Sports Resort. It uses Wii Motion Plus to give the players a most realistic gaming experience. To give the player a deeper sense of immersion, you just have to plug the Wii Sports Resort into the base of the Wii remote control together with its sensor bar and accelerometer. As fun as it is to play, it is also fun to just watch the players. It is easy to learn and people can easily pick up the game of any Wii Consoles.

Wii is surely loaded with fun that not only kids get to enjoy but even adults. Rather than go and play outside, playing your favorite sport with Wii Consoles never has to be an outdoor activity. Wii Sports Resort for Wii Consoles, which has been set to be released in 2009, has already lots of followers eager to play the ongoing series of sports that are to be loaded in their Wii Consoles. The games in the Wii Sports Resort have a beach resort setting and are compatible with the Wii Motion Plus. The new sports game for Wii has to be bundled with a Wii Motion Plus device and the Wii Remote Jacket but are sold separately though. The games that have already been developed for the Wii Sports Resort are Jet Skiing, Kendo, and Frisbee. There are still seven games that have to be filled in to complete ten games in the final package.

With these cool gadgets for the Wii games, every major electronic store is bound to get stocks to accommodate every gamer’s needs. Gamers on the other hand have to have a way to get an overview of the prices from these stores. One such place is at Wii compare.

What Can You Get Out Of The Latest Version Of Nintendo Wii

With a price tag of $250 or less, Nintendo’s Wii is reputed to be cheaper than most seventh generation game consoles. It also aims for a wider market demographic than its competitors. Hence, it is equipped with the capacity to be compatible with other platforms including the Internet.

Coming at only a few millimeters in height and width, the Wii is the smallest game console to ever rollout from Nintendo. And at only 2.7 pounds, it is the lightest among the present game consoles on the market. What’s more, the Wii can be placed in a horizontal or a vertical orientation; so there is no reason for you not to find a perfect space and position to keep it.

While the best features it may have to offer are its ability to receive messages and updates online via WiiConnect24 and its low electrical consumption, the following are some more of the unique features that Wii has to offer.

One-Handed Controller

A striking feature about Nintendo’s Wii is the remote controller that can be used with only one hand. The controller makes use of infrared sensors and accelerometers that are super sensitive to the user’s movements and can detect the way it is positioned in a three dimensional platform. With this controller, a gamer can play using his or her movements rather than mere button-pressing.

The controller also features force feedback technology wherein players can feel vibrations to better simulate the game being played in a real world scenario. Best of all, Wii controller has an internal speaker that enhances the feel of the game being played. Wii also comes with a nunchuk unit for that more traditional touch of an analog stick and trigger buttons.

Equipped with Bluetooth, the Wii controller is connected to the console without the limitations posed by cords. And it can also be connected to other devices thru a port located under the controller.

Retro-Compatibility

Wii offers retro or backward compatibility with Nintendo GameCube software and some hardware. This means you can enjoy GameCube games on your Wii. The console comes with four GameCube controller panels as the Wii remote controller can’t be used for GameCube games. It also has a slot for GameCube memory cards if you want to save games.

Parental Restrictions

The Wii console comes equipped with parental control capability. Parents can prohibit very young kids from playing games with unsuitable contents. Wii automatically checks the content rating of games being played. If a game doesn’t meet the restrictions set, Wii won’t load the game unless an override password is keyed in.

Buy a Nintendo Wii

It was called “Nintendo Revolution”. Nintendo Wii is the Nintendo Version that plays NTSC and encodes any disc format. With its cool look, the latest Japanese console is made of top-notch materials and comes with a compact, witty design.

Nintendo has taken on the approach of improving its entire system and not just taking from what their competition released. The Nintendo Wii controller that is special-motion sensitive.

The difference is that you can punch, drive or strike a sword by turning your wrist instead of pushing the button.

Its size is three DVD cases piled atop another. It is available in a silver stand, enabling the system to be displayed horizontally or vertically.

If you have been a Nintendo fan over the years, this console can play games compatible with the Nintendo GameCube. It can also download fan-favorite titles from the past 20 years for Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

The Wii costs at around $250. This rate is cheaper than the Microsoft Xbox 360 and way cheaper than Sony PlayStation 3. The packaging of the Nintendo Wii includes a sports game that is quite addictive. That alone will let you feel first-hand what the system’s controller is all about.

In recent news, Nintendo Wii has outsold Sony’s PlayStation 3. Both components were released toward the end of the year (the former was available mid-November while the latter in mid-December).

There was a speculation that PlayStation 3 will be the best-selling game console all over the world. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

Nintendo has managed to ship 4 million Wii’s worldwide on December 31. That is twice the number of PlayStation 3’s promised to deliver. As 2006 closed down, Nintendo had already sold 600,000 Wii eight days after it debuted on November 19.

It could be the price. Nintendo Wii can be purchased at $250 whereas a Sony PlayStation 3 costs $600.

If all these have sparked your interest, you can buy Nintendo Wii in your local stores. You can also buy them online :www.amazon.com and www.bestbuy.com. You can compare prices from one store to another. Some sell them cheaper than the standard price.

By buying it on eBay, you also get a discount. That depends though whether you’re willing to go for a second-hand console.

However anyway you decide to get it, seems like Nintendo has managed to do well with this system.
